DEPENDENCE – Wildlife Photography Exhibition – July 2024
‘Dependence’ is a new wildlife photography exhibition at the Water of Leith Visitor Centre on Lanark Road, Edinburgh. This new exhibition replaces my previous one that was on display from October 2022 to June 2024.
The exhibition itself is the result of the dependent relationship between the wildlife, the river, the Water of Leith Conservation Trust & the volunteers. The wildlife not only live by the river but they also depend on it for survival. The river, in turn, depends on the hard work of the Trust and their volunteers, who put in thousands of hours, keeping the water clean and the walkway clear. The very fact that we have so many otters, kingfishers, dippers, herons, etc means that the river is healthy & able to support all of these creatures.

I am very grateful to the Trust for asking me to put up this second exhibition. It is on display Mon – Sun (10am – 4pm) at the Water of Leith Visitor Centre, 24 Lanark Road, Edinburgh EH14 1TQ.

There is a new ‘Otter Wall’ and a new addition is the 46x ‘Did You Know?’ fact cards next to each print. These are fun filled facts about the creatures that call the Water of Leith home! How many of these facts do you know?
Once again, this wildlife photography exhibition is FREE but please bring a friend or two and buy a coffee/tea/cake at the centre when you’re looking around. This really helps boost the Trust’s funds for future projects.
